External Sales Representative

Altrad Generation is one of the largest suppliers of Scaffolding, Temporary Fencing and Access. Also supplying to multiple sectors in Groundworks, Safety, Edge Protection and within Ireland, formwork and falsework.


 Job Summary

As a Sales Representative for Altrad Generation, you will be responsible for increasing sales within your area while also expanding your customer base. In addition to hitting targets, a Sales Representative is also responsible for representing the image of the company, providing excellent customer service, and identifying areas for business development.


Responsibilities and duties

  • You will be representing the company by phone and face to face to gain orders for all company products and services.


  • You will be expected to achieve budgeted turnover and targets within agreed Company pricing.


  • All customer enquires must be dealt with effectively and in a timely manner.


  • Maintain company CRM at all times for all existing and potential customers.


  • To be fully competent in product literature, sales aids, pricing lists in order to optimise business opportunities.


  • All price quotations or commitments entered are confirmed by letter or written confirmation.


  • Advise the Branch Manager on marketing information, including competitor’s activities and pricing by means of weekly reports and sales meetings.


  • Have a due regard for Health & Safety and maintain responsibility around your working environment, other employees, customers, and members of the public.


  • Maximise time spent in the field by creating and implementing a strategy


  • Always maintain a professional image through, appearance and conduct.


  • Carry out projects ad hoc.


  • The Company car provided, you will be required to keep maintained in a clean, tidy, and legally roadworthy condition at all times.


Qualifications and skills

  • At least 5 years of proven sales experience in construction or a similar industry


  • Able to meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly KPI’s


  • Excellent communication skills


  • Proficient IT skills including MS


  • Driving Licence (clean preferred)


  • Ability to negotiate


  • Using your own initiative


  • Effectively plan and execute ideas and strategies
