CISRS Advanced Scaffolder

Duration: 10 days

Delegates must have a minimum of 12 months practical experience of scaffolding operations following the attainment of their CISRS Scaffolder Card. You will need to be able to climb up and down ladders safely and also be capable of handling scaffold boards and steel scaffold poles. You will need to supply a copy of your CISRS scaffolder card prior to attending the advanced course.

The Advanced Scaffolder course focuses on complex scaffold structures and leading scaffold gangs. Candidates attending this course will be required to show leadership both in safe working practices and scaffolding technique. A good level of underpinning scaffold knowledge and experience is important as the structures covered will necessitate the ability to comprehend design drawings and work independently. Each candidate will be asked to lead the gang at some point as well as ensuring the risk assessments and method statements are followed.
