Duration: 10 days
Delegates must have a minimum of 6 months practical experience of scaffolding operations following the successful completion of their CISRS Part 1 training. You will need to be able to climb up and down ladders safely and also be capable of handling scaffold boards and steel scaffold poles. You will need to supply a copy of your CISRS Part 1 certificate or card endorsement prior to attending your course.
Part 2 progresses to scaffold structures and configurations which include cantilevers and beam work such as bridging. Candidates are also introduced to tie testing, edge protections and splay scaffolds. Covering more in-depth safe working practices, the need to conform to SG4 on structures incorporating truss outs and roof saddles is increased. Candidates are now required to demonstrate the ability to work from drawings independently and ensure the gang are following the correct assembly procedure. The course also covers practical scaffold inspections and the requirements of reporting both adequate and faulty structures.

Successful delegates will receive a CISRS Certificate, and can apply for their current CISRS card to be endorsed with the CISRS Part 2 scaffolding training.
Following the Part 2 course, each candidate must complete an NVQ portfolio of work based evidence demonstrating their ability to follow this training. One of our qualified assessors will assist with this process including attending site to carry out on the job observations of the candidate at work. Once the NVQ has been completed and the candidate has held their CISRS Part 2 Trainee card for a minimum of 6 months, they are eligible to attend the 1-day Skills Test at a CISRS Training Centre where they must demonstrate their ability to complete a scaffold structure for a drawing without instruction in a practical test scenario.
